PHONE BOOTH SERIES  - an ongoing engagement with the landscape of New York City via the vanishing and vestigial phone booth.

Public pay phones have long held my fascination and I’ve photographed them casually since moving to New York City as a teenager. In 2020 the city began removing its phone booths; sometimes replacing them with Link kiosks or simply striking them from the scene. As as city in constant evolution, the disappearance of phone booths marks yet another milestone into what will be 21st Century Gotham.

PHONE BOOTH SERIES documents the evolving landscape as well as an imagining of the people who used the phone booths when they were the go-to option for communication.
